Huawei releases new update for Maimang 9 with February 2021 security patch

Huawei has started to roll out a new software update for its China-exclusive smartphone – Huawei Maimang 9. This update comes with security improvements released in February 2021 that fixes 2 critical, 26 high levels, and 77 medium levels of CVEs.

Recall about the device:

Back in July 2020, Huawei has revealed the Huawei Maimang 9 5G, which offers a 6.8-inch display with FHD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution, 64MP AI triple camera setup, EMUI 10.1, good battery life, and more.

Updated Version: Huawei Maimang 9 users grabbing EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.201 upgrading from 10.1.1.200.

Users can check and install this latest firmware version on their Maimang 9 device. This update improves your device security and boost overall system performance.

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & Updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
