NBA Rumors: Boston Celtics Have Offered Multiple First-Round Picks For Jerami Grant

The Boston Celtics are brimming with talent, but their play so far this season hasn’t really shown it. Amid struggles on both ends of the floor, the Celtics are just 19-18 this season, tied for fourth in the East.

But now, according to a recent report, they’re gunning for some help on the wing.

With the trade deadline inching closer, Boston has made an offer for Pistons forward Jerami Grant, which includes at least two first-round draft picks.

After previous reports indicated the Boston Celtics had Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant on top of their wish list of potential trade targets, the price they are willing to pay is coming into sharper focus.

Appearing on the A-List Podcast, James Edwards III of The Athletic said “the Celtics have offered multiple firsts for (Grant). I don’t what multiple means, it could be two, it could be three.”

That kind of haul seems like a lot for Grant, but his play this season has really caught a lot of attention.

At 27-years-old, he’s averaging 23.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game on 43.4% shooting as one of the main candidates for Most Improved Player. In Boston, alongside Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, he could really thrive, and the Celtics could get that much closer to turning their season around.

We’ll see what happens with the situation over these next few days and weeks.
