NBA Rumors: The Chicago Bulls Could Target Dennis Schroder In The Offseason

The Chicago Bulls have been linked with point guards in recent memory, notably Lonzo Ball of the New Orleans Pelicans. They seem to want a facilitator for their team, someone who can make the right play, and take some of the playmaking burden off of Zach LaVine. The Chicago Bulls have shown their ambition to win by trading for Nikola Vucevic. An elite point guard seems to be the next step.

It has recently been revealed that if the Chicago Bulls do not manage to get Lonzo Ball in the offseason, they will turn to Dennis Schroder. Schroder is an elite veteran who has been part of many playoff teams and could easily be a piece that helps get the Bulls on the right track.

Dennis Schroder is an all-around point guard who can do a little bit of everything. While his numbers are down this season due to playing with other elite scorers like LeBron James and Anthony Davis, he can certainly be a capable scorer: during the 2019-20 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Schroder averaged 18.9 PPG. Aside from being a scorer, Schroder is also a capable facilitator who can set up his teammates. While he’s not a top-tier passer, he is more than capable of running an offense. Dennis Schroder could potentially be an attractive option for the Chicago Bulls, though we’d have to wait for the offseason to see whether he makes his way over to Chicago.
