NBA Rumors: Rockets Will Get Calls For John Wall

With the glory days over in Houston, it seems the organization is shifting towards a rebuild centered around young big man, Christian Wood.

Where that leaves 30-year-old John Wall is still up in the air. According to Jonathan Feigen, the team hasn’t formally put the veteran guard on the trade market, but they will field plenty of calls for him leading up to the deadline.

“I definitely don’t think he (Rockets general manager Rafael Stone) is shopping Wall,” wrote Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. “… There will be calls on Wall, however. The Rockets will be active in talks and eventually in making deals, but I would consider him down the list of those likely to be moved.”

As is usually the case with this sort of situation, all it takes is the right offer for the Rockets to make a move. While Wall has become a fan favorite for the organization, his recent play has his value at a sky-high, and there are going to be at least a few teams willing to offer some picks and/or young pieces to try and get him.

If it’s appealing enough, Houston might have a hard time letting it go.

Nevertheless, whatever they decide to do with Wall, we can probably expect a number of changes to be made this season, in their post-James Harden era.
