Dennis Schroder Responds After Russell Westbrook Notches His 176th Career Triple-Double: "He's The Old Russell Westbrook..."

9-1 in their last 10 games, the Washington Wizards are proving themselves to be a sure-fire playoff team, and there is little doubt that Russell Westbrook, who is coming off his 176th career triple-double, is a huge reason why.

Averaging 21.8 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists per game on 43.7% shooting, Russ is having a spectacular campaign, drawing many back to his days with the OKC Thunder.

"He cut his hair again," said Lakers guard Dennis Schroder. "He's the old Russell Westbrook. ... He's a monster."

There is no arguing that Westbrook's game is riddled with flaws. From his limitations on the perimeter to his occasional carelessness with the basketball, it is often that critics find something to flame him for.

This season, though, he's doing all he can to pull his team out of the gutter, serving as a star both on the court and in the locker room. Many of his teammates, including Bradley Beal, have raved about his drive to win and incredible selflessness.

The Wizards still have a ways to go before they can call this season a success, but things are definitely looking up for them. If Russ and Beal can continue to do their thing, this team certainly has a chance to meet their goals.
