Detroit Pistons’ Twitter Account Took A Shot At Blake Griffin And Quickly Deleted The Tweet

It seems like the rivalry between Blake Griffin and the Detroit Pistons is getting hotter by the day. Even though they made it clear the player and the team were looking for the best solution to their situation, with the 2011 ROY getting bought out by the franchise last month, things appear to be getting in the wrong direction after Blake joined the Brooklyn Nets.

Before his arrival to Brooklyn, Griffin hadn’t dunked the ball in two years and his first play with the Nets was exactly that, a dunk. He let people know he still got it and continue dunking the ball in the next games. Well, that didn’t sit well with his former team and on Tuesday night, they took a shot at the veteran.

In a now-deleted tweet, the Pistons took a shot at Blake for his inability or unwillingness to dunk the ball with them, sharing a highlight with a big caption.

“When you don’t wait over a year to dunk a basketball 🙂,” they wrote.

The post was deleted but that didn’t prevent fans from taking pictures. Blake has been playing very good basketball in Brooklyn but that doesn’t mean he didn’t make some enemies during the process, especially in Detroit.

The Pistons have made some questionable moves in the past, getting just one second-rounder in exchange for four good players. This didn’t help their chances to compete and it seems like Griffin lost motivation to continue with them.

Now he’s living the best life in Brooklyn, playing for a contender, when his dunks have returned. As for Detroit, they’re the worst team in the East, trying to start a rebuilding process again. We know who is the winner of this breakup.
