NBA Rumors: Lakers Could Sign Joe Johnson
With a healthy LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the L.A. Lakers are capable of beating anyone, as they proved in the 2020 postseason.
Still, it’s their supporting cast that will be the key to their repeat attempt this year. After acquiring Andre Drummond to fit alongside Dennis Schroder, Montrezl Harrell, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the team may go out and get veteran guard Joe Johnson as some additional reinforcements of the bench.
Bucks aren’t only team interested in Joe Johnson.
Other teams keeping tabs on ISO Joe: Clippers, Nets, Jazz, Lakers.

Johnson has not played in the NBA since the 2017-2018 season, when he averaged 6.8 points per game on 40% shooting. Most recently, the NBA All-Star played in the Team US in AmeriCup Qualifying Tournament, where he posted averages of 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game.
While his days of putting up huge numbers are over now, he can still be an asset for the Purple and Gold, especially on the perimeter, where he is known for being a knockdown shooter.
Add him alongside the others, and the Lakers get that much closer to securing their second-straight title.
