Paul Pierce Posts Bizarre Video After Being Fired From ESPN
After news broke of Paul Pierce’s breakup with ESPN, he became the topic of conversation on social media, as fans wondered what might come next for the former Celtics star.
Immediately following his firing, “the Truth” broke his silence on Twitter in a rather bizarre video, where he’s seen laughing for a few seconds alongside the caption “#smile.”
Big Things coming soon stay tuned make sure u smile #Truthshallsetufree pic.twitter.com/YIaJMcNQoH

Pierce tells the audience to “stay tuned” for big things ahead, but doesn’t go into much detail about what that might mean. Is he headed towards another sports broadcasting gig? Is he starting up a project of his own?
In the comments, though, fans were much more interested in debating the manner of his firing…
I mean he was off work. He did nothing morally incorrect. Had fun at a poker event with exotic dancers that had bathing suits on. Smh so easy to find a way to get rid of a brotha.

No, it’s not a reason to get rid of a brotha it’s BUSINESS!!! What he does behind closed doors, keep it there! Keep it private! He advertised it by putting it on Instagram. He works for ESPN a division of Disney, a multi million dollar empire! What did he except?! Come on’ Man!!

We watching a midlife crisis unfold here y’all, he just lost Disney money and he tryna hold it together

I guess getting dropped by ESPN gives him freedom? Who knows and who knows what’s in a marriage but I feel bad for the kids! They always suffer and have to deal with the consequences they never chose

Those same ESPN execs making those decisions, did the same thing Paul pierce did , except they didn’t put it on social media. I bet u top management for ESPN have strippers booties all on they faces every weekend!!!! @espn @paulpierce34 #comeonman

He obviously glossed over the morals clause in his contract. You don’t think ESPN and Disney look at social media? Just gave up a good gig, though he probably doesn’t need it.

So, that’s that. And while pierce’s journey with ESPN has ended, it’s unlikely we’ve heard the last from him in the media world. He’ll be back in some capacity, and it’ll be on his terms this time.
