After an encouraging run last season, the Boston Celtics entered 2021 with a lot of optimism and high expectations.

But after a rather dramatic past few months, the Celtics have become one o the league's most disappointing teams this campaign, thanks largely to a poorly built roster.

And while the blame can go in many different directions, NBA legend Charles Barkley puts it all on Danny Ainge.

“Danny Ainge is a good friend of mine, but he’s not done a good job with all those draft picks he had,” Barkley said ina recent interview on ESPN Radio’s Keyshawn, JWill & Zubin. “He hasn’t done a good job because he made a mistake with Kyrie Irving, I think he made a mistake with Kemba Walker, and, um, that team is not very good at all.

“Think about it — Boston had a hundred number one draft picks and they haven’t done anything with them. Now they’re irrelevant because there’s nobody in their right mind thinking, like, Boston is even close to being a contender so, like I say, you have to blame the guys.”

The Celtics have let a lot of their talent go over the past few years, including Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward, and Al Horford. While they have kept their core of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the rest of the roster leaves much to be desired.

Needless to say, big changes are coming to Boston, and one of the moves may involve Danny Ainge himself.
