Huawei MatePad Pro 2 preparing for global launch, likely to be the first HarmonyOS powered tablet for overseas consumers
Before Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 official release for smartphones, Huawei has plans to organize two product launch conferences for the forthcoming anticipated lineup of devices in different segments.
Previously, it was reported that Huawei will host an event on May 19 and June 2 in China, where the company will introduce some of its flagship innovations. Talking about the flagship tablet, Huawei MatePad Pro 2 with the WGR-AN19 model was earlier spotted on the TENAA listing and also passed China’s 3C certificate.
According to the past information, the MatePad Pro 2 will launch on June 2 in China. It will come with a 12-inch (two variants) display size, Kirin 9000, pre-packed with HarmonyOS, 120Hz refresh rate, 40W charging, as well as other new smart features.
According to the latest news, Huawei’s upcoming high-end tablet with code WGR-W09 identified as MatePad Pro 2 WiFi has passed the SIRIM Malaysia certification on May 5, 2021. It means that Huawei, apart from the mainland, is planning to launch this premium tablet in the global market and it could be the first pre-installed HarmonyOS tablet to enter the international market.
At the moment, Huawei has not made the confirmation on upcoming launch events and product detail. Stay connected and we’ll keep you updated with future development on this matter.
