Jimmy Butler Responds After Falling To 0-3 Hole Against Milwaukee Bucks: "I'm Not Surprised."
Last year, the Miami Heat went on an amazing Cinderella run, beating the Pacers, Bucks, and Celtics to make an appearance in the NBA Finals.
But now, they find themselves down 0-3 to the same Bucks team they beat a season ago, facing elimination in the very first round.
After the game, Butler didn't exactly mince words, suggesting that he was prepared to enter a situation such as this:
“I’m not surprised,” Butler told reporters after the game (via Ruthie Polinsky of NBC). “It’s basketball. It’s part of it. Keep our heads up, keep working, try to get this one on Saturday.”
All the Heat can really do at this point is take things one game at a time. It will be tough, almost impossible, to beat the Giannis-led Bucks four times in a row, but if any team could do it, it has got to be the Heat.
They are known to be fighters, and even with their backs against the wall, they never shy away from the grind.
The team will have to adjust and tweak their strategy heading into Game 4. And although Butler seems pretty lax about it all, he has a way of stepping up when his team needs him most.
Let's see if he can deliver one more time before it's too late.
