Despite their status as the reigning champions of the NBA, this Los Angeles Lakers team has struggled this season. That was mostly due to injury, and their recent game against the Indiana Pacers showed a glimpse of what they could do when healthy. LeBron James and Anthony Davis give you a chance against any opponent, and the addition of Andre Drummond gives them a former All-Star big man who is an elite rebounder.

We should never underestimate the heart of a champion, no matter their seeding. The Los Angeles Lakers know what it takes to win in the playoffs, and a team with LeBron James is bound to go far. While the Los Angeles Lakers could end up playing in the play-in tournament due to their standings, it seems as though LeBron James isn't worried.

There was some speculation from various analysts about how healthy the Los Angeles Lakers would be when it was playoff time. LeBron James has missed a series of games prior to the Lakers-Pacers matchup, and Dennis Schroder was in a similar situation. However, the Los Angeles Lakers convincingly beat the Indiana Pacers with both playing, although the latter were notably without All-Star Domantas Sabonis. It was a good win from a Lakers team that has had injury issues around the roster all season, and it sets them up well for the playoffs.

At the end of the day, even if the Los Angeles Lakers may not be at their best, they are still a dangerous team. If any team could upset a top seed team in the playoffs, it would be a team led by LeBron James.
