Mayhem In Washington: Fan Attempts To Run On The Court During Sixers/Wizards Game

Since the start of the NBA playoffs, the fans have been acting way out of line. Over the past week, a fan spit on Trae Young, popcorn was thrown over Russell Westbrook, and a bottle was tossed at Kyrie Irving.

And now, in D.C., a fan felt it was appropriate to run onto the court mid-game.

In this case, it seems like the fan was either dared to touch the backboard or just wanted a few minutes of social media fame. As he's being escorted off the court in handcuffs, he seems almost proud of his actions.

While this situation wasn't meant to disrespect any particular player, it's extremely dangerous, as both he and any of the players on the court could have collided and caused bodily injury.

That's not to mention how scary it was to see a random man just charge the court with no apparent motive.

In the end, it marks yet another fan controversy in the NBA, not even days after another fan was charged with assault and battery.

Whatever has gotten into people lately, it's a bad look on the fanbase and the league as a whole.

If people can't control themselves in the arena, more serious measures may have to be taken.
