NBA Rumors: Duncan Robinson Could Sign Contract Worth $20 Million Per Year In  2021 Free Agency

27-year-old Duncan Robinson isn't Miami's most important player, but his presence has given the team a huge spark on the offensive end, with his latest performance being a 22-point outing against the Boston Celtics.

Interestingly, Robinson is set to become a free agent this summer, and could ink a deal worth at least $20 million per year.

“Duncan Robinson, who’s going to be a restricted free agent this summer, which means Miami can match any offer sheet he signs. … This could be a $20 million a year player,” said ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. “Remember, teams are going to put an offer sheet out there that they hope Miami wouldn’t match. That’s going to be difficult to pry him away from Pat Riley, Erik Spoelstra.”

$20 million seems like a lot for a third-year player who is only averaging 13 points per game, but it might be a move worth the gamble.

As one of the best shooters in the game, he brings a certain level of marksmanship very few can match, as evidenced by his impressive 42.2% three-point shooting percentage for his career.

At just 27-years-old, he's got plenty of time to grow and develop his game, and plenty of prime years left.

If he lands in the right situation, he can be the missing piece to a title-hopeful roster.
