With just weeks to go until the conclusion of the 2021 season, Russell Westbrook has made a bit of history, tying NBA legend Oscar Robertson for the most triple-doubles in league history (181).

After the achievement, Westbrook sent a message to the Big O, with the knowledge he'll likely pass him pretty soon.

He also made a remark on what it is that made it so easy for him to start racking up rebounds:

For as much hate as Westbrook gets, his talent is undeniable, and people have begun to take notice.

Magic Johnson and Steve Kerr are just a few names who have been impressed by Russ lately, and that number is growing after each and every performance.

The only question for Russ now is, can he translate his play into meaningful wins for the Wizards? They've in a solid stretch right now, that has them in play-in territory.

But to reach the epitome of success, Russ will have to lead the Wizards to some victories in the playoffs.

While it's easy to question if he's capable, perhaps it's time we give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, he has put himself into some pretty rare air already.
