Huawei will unveil HarmonyOS 2.0 for smartphones on June 2 along with new products including MatePad Pro 2, Watch 3 series, and the much-awaited flagship phone, the Huawei P50 series.
In December 2020, Huawei announced HarmonyOS 2.0 closed developer beta testing for flagships – Huawei P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro series.
After three months of testing, the Chinese tech giant opened the HarmonyOS 2.0 dev beta testing pool for the first batch of public participants. The open beta activity consisted of 19 devices and further expanded for more 7 devices on the 9th of May.

Previously, Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei CBG and Director of AI and smart full-scenario business department stated that the large-adaption of HarmonyOS 2.0 will start in early June.
Recently, a Weibo tipster – Chrysanthemum Fan discloses that Huawei will announce HarmonyOS 2.0 upgrades for the first batch of the device at the HarmonyOS launch conference on June 2.
Tipster suggests that the process of HarmonyOS 2.0 adaptation will start on May 31 and the stable upgrade version will be pushed on June 2 for the first batch of devices. After that, the company will announce the upgrade timeline of more devices.
