With the New York Knicks back in the playoffs for the first time since 2013, everybody knew Madison Square Garden would be rocking with fans.

And, just as expected, the atmosphere in the building was intense and ripe with excitement.

Unfortunately, those fans didn't get the outcome they wanted on Sunday, as the Knicks fell to the Hawks, thanks to a 32-point night from Trae Young, who also hit the game-winner.

Young was torching the Knicks all night long, and the fans let him have it with a hailstorm of boos.

Addressing those fans, and the boos, Young had some choice words following his impressive game-winning shot.

"Everybody's chanting F-U ... It got real quiet at the end, and I wanted to hear those F-U chants again."

After such a brought patch for Knicks fans, it's no surprise that they were fired up for the game, and it seems they're not very huge fans of Trae Young.

But in the end, it's Young who got the last laugh, securing the victory after a monster performance.

If Game 1 is any indication as to what we can expect going forward, this will be a hard-fought, back-and-forth series to the bitter end. No doubt, it will be a treat to watch.
