NBA Rumors: Dennis Schroder Seeking $100-$120 Million Deal In Free Agency

One of Dennis Schroder's signature moments from this past season wasn't actually anything he said or did. Rather, it was his contract negotiations with the Lakers, which fell apart after the veteran guard turned down an $84 million deal.

His play towards the end of the season, and the playoffs especially, really hurt his chances of landing that sort of contract, and the NBA community has been clowning him for it ever since.

But according to the German Basketball Federation, the guard hasn't exactly lowered his asking price:

"Dennis Schroeder has communicated this clearly: he wants $100, $120 million—which he will probably also get—and this sum insured cannot be insured on the normal market at the moment."

While Schroder averaged over 15 points per game last season, he famously disappeared in the playoffs, scoring a grand total of 0 points in Game 5 during their first-round elimination.

There is no doubt that his play during that series severely hurt his value around the association. Still, it's not crazy to think that one desperate franchise might overpay for him.

Whatever the case, it will be most interesting to see how this summer plays out for Schroder, who turns 28 in September.
