Tyronn Lue After Clippers' Game 7 Win: "Last Year Was Last Year. That S--t's Over."

Over the past two seasons, the Los Angeles Clippers have been the laughing stock of the NBA. After getting bounced early in the 2020 playoffs, fans clowned the organization for what they called the "Clippers curse," and calls for the team to start fresh were increasing around the community.
Coming into this campaign, nobody had any real faith that they would overcome their demons, and the Clippers were labeled as pretenders instead of true title contenders.
But after fighting their way back from down 2-3, to move into the second round, the Clips have proven they aren't the same team as last year.
In the post-game press conference, Tyronn Lue alluded to the same:
“Last year was last year ... That s--t's over.”
Love them or hate them, the Clippers deserve a lot of credit for what they've been able to do this season.
Amid all the haters and doubters, they came back from the brink to advance and are now probably the favorites to come out of the West.
Of course, the job isn't yet finished. In order to truly make amends for their past, the Clippers are going to have to win the Finals, meaning they've still got 12 more games to win.
At the very least, however, they can't be counted out of the title chase, not from what we've seen from them over the past few weeks.
