The 2015 NBA Finals ended with the Golden State Warriors beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-2, with Andre Iguodala getting MVP honors after doing a solid job defending LeBron James. It was a great series for Iggy, but not everybody was convinced he deserved to get the FMVP award.

Not even Iguodala thought that way, as he recently admitted while talking on JJ Redick's "The Old Man and the Three" podcast. When Redick asked, "do you feel like you should have won the 2015 Finals MVP?" Iguodala replied:

"I was talking to Ariza, I told him that I lucked out and got one Finals MVP; I would rather Steph have it. Ariza told me, "Hell no!". I still think Steph should have got 1 of the 3."

Steph was on another level on the offensive end during that series, averaging 26.0 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds in 6 games (via StatMuse). Meanwhile, Iggy was awarded thanks to his defensive performance guarding LeBron James.

The King shot for just 38.1% from the field, recording a -15.5 net rating when he was on the floor, compared to James' 44% shooting and +18.8 rating when Iguodala was on the bench, per Fox Sports

Curry has won three championships during his career, and plenty of people believe he should've gotten at least one FMVP. Even Iguodala knows that but this is part of the past now and there's nothing people can do to change it.
