Huawei Nova 8 Pro with HarmonyOS 2 is the first ever smartphone with aging technology
On July 2, Huawei Nova 8 Pro powered by HarmonyOS 2 becomes the first smartphone to get the five-star certificate for the ability of smart mobile devices to adapt to aging technology.
This certificate was issued by China Tyre Laboratory of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology after the launch of “Tail Certificate-Five-Star Evaluation Program for the Aging Technology Capability of Smart Mobile Devices” by China’s Tell Laboratory.
So far, Huawei is the only brand to won this honor. To be mentioned, the Tail certificate-five-star evaluation program is applicable only for smart mobile devices.
The “Tail Certificate-Five-star Evaluation Program for the Applicable Technology Capability of Smart Mobile Terminals” is based on the “Technical Requirements for Applicable Ageing of Mobile Terminals” promulgated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on June 29.
The eight dimensions of aging-adaptive technology including:
- Visual assistance
- Hearing assistance
- Touch assistance
- Voice interaction
- Remote assistance
- Simple desktop
- Emergency applications
- Aging-adaptive operation guide
were tested and verified.
Huawei Nova 8 Pro:
After evaluation, the Huawei Nova 8 Pro smartphone equipped with HarmonyOS 2 has an excellent performance in aging technology. It has reached the five-star rating requirement of “Smart mobile terminal aging technology capability”.
This rating indicates that it has excellent smart mobility and it is suitable for aging technical capabilities. Huawei is the only mobile phone brand that has received a “five-star” rating so far.
On June 29th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued three standards for the aging of mobile terminals, which are:
- Technical Requirements for the Aging of Mobile Devices
- Test Methods for the Aging of Mobile Device and Smart TVs
- Technical Requirements for Aging Design
Its purpose is to solve various difficulties encountered by the elderly in the process of using mobile phones, tablet computers, TVs, and other smart products.
At the press conference, Huawei, as one of the corporate representatives, solemnly promised to continue to make positive contributions in carrying out research and innovation on age-appropriate technology. Also, promoting the implementation of age-appropriate standards, and improving the quality of age-appropriate smart terminals.
As early as 2011, Huawei established the Sustainability Committee to continue to conduct human factors research on elderly users, polish the experience of the elderly, and provide guidance on the use of mobile phones for the elderly through online and offline methods.
