On July 29, Huawei unveiled its latest flagship – the Huawei P50 series. This lineup comes with a number of different features that are directed towards the Pro user and allows you to capture the best moments possible.
Huawei P50 comes with a 6.5-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1440 Hz PWM dimming, 300Hz, and 458 PPI of the touch sampling rate. The display has a high resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels.
On the other hand, the Huawei P50 Pro sports a 6.6-inch OLED display featuring a curved edge panel, 120Hz high refresh rate, 1440Hz, 2.5k resolution, 1440 Hz PWM dimming, 300Hz, and 458 PPI, and more.
Regarding the display specifications, China’s well-known research firm – CINNO Research has published a new report which shows that both of these displays are supplied by Chinese display maker – BOE.
Due to the U.S. restrictions, Huawei cannot purchase OLED panels from South Korea’s Samsung and LG. However, the Chinese phone reshuffled its supply chain and configured domestic suppliers as an alternative supply chain with limited resource access.
The research, however, didn’t mention any specific details on the shipment or the overall quantity.
Huawei P50 Pro is currently on pre-sale in China and the first sale of Huawei P50 pro is scheduled for August 12. While the Huawei P50 will sell in September.
