The Phoenix Suns shocked the world by earning a spot in the NBA Finals.

But now that they're down 2-3, with virtually no signs of life, folks are starting to question if these young and enthusiastic Suns are actually frauds.

According to ESPN NBA Insider and analyst Tim Legler, they never really had enough to win the title. Rather, their success is more a product of injuries than anything else:

"If the Lakers don't break down, Kawhi doesn't go down or even Jamal Murray is healthy, the Phoenix Suns don't make the NBA Finals. They weren't ready to take this leap. Injuries played a large part in it cause what you're seeing now is this: they need another guy. They don't have enough. Their roster is not enough."

Legler went on to note how Phoenix's lack of size is what is really being exposed in this series, and that in order to get better and put themselves in position to win next year, they're going to have to add some very specific pieces.

Whatever the case, it's becoming apparent that the Suns are in over their heads at this point. Had those lucky breaks not happened, who knows if they'd even be here right now.
