Jusuf Nurkic Reacts To Damian Lillard Trade Request Rumors: "Y’all Really About To Believe A Guy With A Name Henry Abbott "

Damian Lillard is the man everybody's talking about around the NBA right now, not because of his stellar play but because of his alleged desire to leave the Portland Trail Blazers.

According to TrueHoops' Henry Abbott, the Blazers star is getting ready to formally request a trade in the wake of the backlash he's experienced since Chauncey Billups' appointment as coach:

"The most certain thing in Blazerworld is that Lillard’s value is sky high around the NBA. He’s the preferred teammate of half the league, and a constant presence in trade speculation from the 76ers, Knicks, Warriors, and beyond," Abbott reported.

Nonetheless, Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic wants nothing to do with this report and didn't hesitate to call him out, mocking him and claiming that his story was simply false.

"Y’all really about to believe a guy with a name Henry abboott," Nurkic tweeted.

"Y’all keep guessing at this point. That’s my brother and you still have a better source?? #Comeon," Nurkic responded Abbott when he asked if Lillard had told him differently.W

While Lillard seems far from happy with the current state of the organization and he's said in the past that they're not good enough to compete for an NBA Championship right now, he also said that he's never talked about leaving.

What Lillard really thinks or feels right now is anybody's guess. We've heard these kinds of stories countless times before and, more often than not, the superstar indeed wants out of the small market team.

But whether Lillard will ask to be traded and whether the Blazers will cave into his demand remains yet to be seen, as he won't be a free agent until 2024 and that's going to make any move quite tricky.
