After another disappointing season, and a rather dramatic head coaching search, the Portland Trail Blazers are focused on finding talent to surround their star, Damian Lillard.

While their options remain few, one sharpshooting veteran could become available this offseason: Cleveland's Kevin Love, who is growing closer to a buyout with the Cavs.

I can confirm that I’ve heard the Brooklyn Nets and Portland Trail Blazers are “prime destinations” for Kevin Love in the event he’s bought out.

The Golden State Warriors could be an option for Love as well.

The chances of a buyout remain a mystery, but it's no secret that Love is growing a bit frustrated with the situation, as the Cavaliers are stuck in a rough rebuild.

For the Blazers, KLove does not address their defensive weakness, but it would give them a solid rebounding and shooting big man to pair alongside Jusuf Nurkic in the frontcourt.

Love, 32, is nearing the final chapter of his career, and there are questions about just how much he has left in the tank. But with a new team, alongside a sharpshooter like Lillard, he could become a valuable player and re-gain his status as an All-Star.

In the 2020-21 season, he averaged 12.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 40.9% shooting.
