Kyle Lowry is a former All-Star point guard that will be hitting free agency. It is clear that Lowry is entering the latter stages of his career, but his game has aged like fine wine. This season, Kyle Lowry has averaged 17.2 PPG and 7.3 APG, and he clearly has some good years left in him. He has helped win a championship for the Toronto Raptors during his time there, and now he could leave for greener pastures, as Toronto looks like they're headed for a rebuild.

There is no shortage of teams that have been linked with chasing Kyle Lowry in free agency. A lot of teams could use a player like Lowry who can find ways to contribute with or without the ball, and who is one of the best playmakers in the league. While it is likely that Kyle Lowry may receive a lot of offers, NBA Insider Marc Stein has reported that there are three main teams that have Lowry as their top free agency target.

Miami, Dallas and New Orleans will be at the forefront of the pursuit for Toronto’s Kyle Lowry once free-agent negotiations are permissible at 6 p.m. ET on Monday. Lowry is the top target for all three teams. The Heat would appear to have a recruiting advantage through Lowry’s close relationship with Miami star Jimmy Butler.

Each of these teams would have a use for Kyle Lowry. The Miami Heat could sign Lowry to try and add another shot creator and playmaker to the team. The New Orleans Pelicans need a veteran leader in the locker room, and they'll have a hole at point guard if they choose not to re-sign Lonzo Ball. The Dallas Mavericks need a secondary ballhandler and scorer next to Luka Doncic. Kyle Lowry is a player in demand, and he'll have a lot of good options when it comes to free agency. A team adding Kyle Lowry to the squad is doing so to elevate themselves to the next level, and we'll see if he ends up with one of these teams.
