A Ben Simmons exit from the Philadelphia 76ers is almost certain at this point. There have been multiple rumors about the various destinations where he could be moved. While a Ben Simmons trade hasn't happened yet, it could happen very soon.

The 76ers have asked for a lot of assets in exchange for Ben Simmons, and their asking price seems to be extravagant when taking into account Simmons' performance in the playoffs against the Atlanta Hawks. Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer has recently revealed that the Golden State Warriors recently refused a trade for Ben Simmons. The Sixers demanded Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, picks No. 7 and No. 14 in the 2021 NBA Draft, and two future picks. That is a lot to ask for one player.

The Golden State Warriors basically assumed the 76ers’ offer as a joke.

The Sixers asked for Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, the Nos. 7 and 14 picks in tonight’s NBA draft along with two future first-rounders in exchange for Ben Simmons, according to multiple sources. The Warriors quickly turned down the offer.

One league executive said the Sixers are making “totally outlandish offers.”

There is no doubt that Ben Simmons is a good player. He has been great in the regular season and even finished in the Top 3 for DPOY voting. While he certainly has positive attributes, the asking price is what a team would typically ask for a superstar, rather than a player of Simmons' caliber. If Simmons fixes his offensive issues, he has a superstar ceiling, but that is an unknown at the moment.

While the Golden State Warriors turned down this offer, it is possible that a Ben Simmons to Golden State trade could still happen if the Philadelphia 76ers lower their asking price.
