“Russell Westbrook Will Outlast LeBron James With Lakers,” Says NBA Analyst Bart Scott

After short stints in Houston and Washington D.C., Russell Westbrook is set to become the newest member of the Los Angeles Lakers.

And while the 33-year-old guard comes with a lot of questions and doubts, one NBA analyst believes he'll outlast LeBron James in Tinseltown.

Here's what he said:

"At some point, I think that Westbrook will outlast LeBron because I think LeBron has one maybe two more years left in that body as you see him start to breakdown. You got all these miles on your body, eventually, they'll start catching up with you. Father Time is undefeated.

So when LeBron leaves at least they can say 'well, we still have Brodie and we still have Anthony Davis."

At 36-years-old, LeBron James is certainly past his physical prime. Most athletes his age are either out of the league completely or are getting minutes off the bench.

Obviously, LeBron is a different breed. Whether by genetics, hard work, or simply good luck, James has found a way to remain elite even after 18 years in the NBA.

As for Westbrook, nobody would have imagined he might be the guy to carry the torch after LeBron's decline. But as a 9x All-Star, 2x Scoring Champ, and former MVP, it is his play that will determine the future of this franchise.

For better or worse, everything rides on Russ (and his co-star AD) from here on out.
