Kyle Lowry's Emotional Goodbye To Toronto After Blockbuster Trade

After a whopping 9 seasons with the Toronto Raptors, Kyle Lowry wrote his goodbye letter on Wednesday following his trade to the Heat.

As, arguably, the franchise's greatest player, it's no surprise Lowry's parting message was deeply passionate and very emotional.

Here's what it said:

“This is hard to write but time has come for the next chapter in my story to begin. But the bond I share with you is unbreakable. There's so many things I want to say about the city of Toronto, Canada as a nation,” Lowry posted on Instagram.

...Toronto will forever be my 2nd home and I will always be tied to the franchise, the city and the country of Canada which makes me so happy to say."

Lowry moves on to Miami, where he will have the chance to compete for a title alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

As for the Raptors, their next step remains uncertain. Without Lowry, it feels like the end of an era for the franchise that is both widely respected and beloved.

With Pascal Siakam and other notable names still on the roster, they can stay competitive for some time. If they chose to rebuild, they have plenty of veteran players they can flip for assets.

Whatever the case, the future seems bright for both Lowry and the Raptors, Maybe one day, they can reunite for a final time.
