LaMelo Ball Doesn't Seem To Recognize Who Nikola Jokic Is In Recent Interview
LaMelo Ball has been used to being in the spotlight his whole life. He grew up as a high school standout in Chino Hills and as the younger brother of LiAngelo and Lonzo, who make poised to become stars of their own as well.
His father LaVar did whatever he could to turn him and his brothers into a media sensation. Love them or hate them, everybody was talking about the Ball Brothers, their patriarch, and the Big Baller Brand.
That's why it's unsurprising to see him talking with plenty of confidence in his game and his skills. At times, some may even say that he's just a little overconfident.
LaMelo recently made the most of his family's histrionic traits and hilariously went undercover with GQ to discuss with some fans on the internet. And, among all the things he said and did, one clearly stood out.
At the 2:30 minute mark, Ball was asked to rank six of the league's finest passers: himself, Ben Simmons, LeBron James, Trae Young, Chris Paul, and reigning MVP Nikola Jokic.
At first, Ball doesn't even seem to know who Jokic is, as he looks like he had never read his name. Then, after a couple of seconds, he just goes like 'Oh, that's the Joker? Yeah, he can pass'.
Now, fans are wondering whether he wanted to take a slight shot at the league's finest passing big man or he legitimately didn't know that Nikola Jokic was The Joker's name.
You better believe that these things never go unnoticed and fans and the media will definitely bring this up every single time the Charlotte Hornets and Denver Nuggets face off for quite a long time.
