The Miami Heat have been submerged in trade rumors all summer long -- and for anybody who has bothered to pay attention, it shouldn't be a surprise.

After making the NBA Finals in 2020, the Heat fell way short of expectations this past season, finishing with a 40-32 record and a series loss to the Bucks in Round 1.

With Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo as a starting point, Pat Riley and the front office will be hard at work trying to fix the ball club. Apparently, part of their plan includes reuniting former Raptors co-stars Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan.

The Miami Heat are trying to figure out a way to reunite free agent DeMar DeRozan with his former Raptors teammate Kyle Lowry in Miami, multiple sources have told #5RSN.

There are many complications to getting such a deal done.

Ass one fan pointed out, such a move might be enough to vault the Heat back into title contention.

With Lowry expecting a huge payout in free agency, and DeRozan's future still a major question, getting them together, on the same team, will not be easy for a franchise already paying $35 million per year for Jimmy Butler.

Nonetheless, Pat Riley has become notorious for making big moves, and it's not wise to count him out now.

Last season, Lowry averaged 17.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game while DeRozan put up 21.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game on 49.5% shooting.
