The free agency period this season has been chaotic for the NBA, with many notable players switching teams. There are a lot of players who have gained lucrative deals in this free agency as well. The landscape of the NBA has definitely changed after the various moves, as the Eastern Conference clearly got stronger, with the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls making big moves thus far.

However, there are still a lot of key players who haven't signed new contracts thus far. It is likely that they are working out deals behind the scenes with their agents, and it will certainly be interesting to see where everyone goes. Among the players who haven't signed yet, there is a lot of great talent.

A lot of these players could contribute to a winning team, and there are definitely role players here that could appeal to a contender, such as shooters JJ Redick and Danny Green. There is also some young talent on the board, such as Lauri Markkanen and  John Collins. Reggie Jackson and Spencer Dinwiddie are both options for teams that need scoring guards.

Kawhi Leonard headlines this free agency class though, and he is head and shoulders above everyone here. While most people would expect him to re-sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, anything could happen, and Leonard hasn't yet made up his decision. Leonard will be out for the majority if not all of next season, but a healthy Kawhi Leonard will make any team a contender.

It remains to be seen what happens with the remaining free agents on the board. There have been a lot of lucrative deals signed already, and perhaps we'll see some more surprises as free agency foes on. Whatever happens though, it definitely looks like next season is shaping up to be quite exciting.
