There aren't many players in NBA history with a basketball IQ as high as Chris Paul's or LeBron James'.

They're two incredible playmakers who make an immediate impact wherever they go. They make their teammates better, and won't hesitate to pass on a shot if there's a guy that's in a better position to succeed.

That, according to James Jones, is what makes them so similar, yet so unique and special: They're always thinking about their teammates:

“Yeah, they care about their teammates," Jones said on Road Trippin'. And that’s the most important thing for them is not just winning but helping their teammates win. There aren’t any limits to how far they’ll go to help their team win. So if that means having dinners, great, that means bringing guys in and listening to them. If that means spending extra time away, like going to a guy and meeting a guy where he is to bring him up to where you want him to go. That’s what those guys do because that’s their nature as leaders is to lead a team to victory.”

Jones sure knows one thing or two about those guys. LeBron James once called him the best teammate he's ever had and he found plenty of success with him in the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Also, he was the one who convinced Chris Paul to join the Phoenix Suns even despite having bigger markets interested in his services.

Paul is one of the greatest point guards in NBA history and proved it again by leading the Suns to the NBA Finals for the first time in 30 years, and even though they didn't win, they still have a bright future ahead of them, especially with such a caring veteran leading the way on and off the court for them.
