Steph Curry Responds To His Legendary Chat With Michael Jordan: "Not Often You Get a Chance To Talk To The GOAT."

Michael Jeffrey Jordan ruled the basketball world for decades. On the court, he was killing the competition and proving to be one of the best players that ever lived. Off the court, he was seducing the community with his wise words and attractive swagger.

Today, there are new faces who control the NBA, one of which being Warriors superstar Stephen Curry. As the greatest shooter ever, he has literally changed the game of basketball forever and has already secured his place in sports history.

As two of the sport's greatest icons, it's not often we get to witness them sitting face-to-face.

So when that moment finally arrived during the Ryder Cup, fans went absolutely mad.

Steph himself commented on the meeting, posting a Tweet that raised some eyebrows.

It's no secret that MJ and Steph have immense respect for each other, but it doesn't mean their relationship has been without drama.

One of their signature moments came in April of 2019, when MJ denied that Curry (who was a 3x Champion at that point) was a Hall-of-Famer.

Jordan was asked by Melvin if he would amend the list of players he said would be unbeatable in a pickup game in a promotion for NBA 2K14 back in 2013. At the time, Jordan picked Hakeem Olajuwon, Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen, and James Worthy. The NBA legend said that he wouldn't change the lineup even though six years had passed since he made the list. "When I'm going in the trenches, I played against and with all these guys. I'm going with who I know," Jordan said.

Melvin replied: "So, Steph Curry shouldn't be offended when he watches this."

And then Jordan said this of the Golden State Warriors star and three-time NBA champion: "I hope not. He's still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet though." 

It would be interesting to hear what MJ thinks about Curry's career now, even though he has yet to win another title since.

Regardless, seeing two legends of the game sit down for a chat together is pretty neat. Hopefully, we'll find out soon what exactly was said.

Oh and, sorry, LeBron -- it looks like Steph has Jordan as the "GOAT."
