After two years of inactivity, Klay Thompson will return to the NBA this upcoming 2021/22 season, trying to help Stephen Curry and the rest of the Warriors come back to the top of the league.

Golden State missed the playoff in the past two seasons after five straight trips to the Finals. The Kevin Durant departure and Klay Thompson’s back-to-back season-ending injuries hurt the team’s chances to make some noise in the league, leaving Stephen Curry and Draymond Green helpless against the rest of the NBA.

Now that Klay is working hard to return to his best version, people in the bay can’t wait to see the shooting guard doing his thing once again. Steve Kerr is ready to watch his player reuniting with his Splash Brother and Draymond.

Talking on The TK Show, the head coach revealed his expectations for Klay, showing his excitement to see one of the most beloved players in the league making his debut at Chase Center.

“I do know that from watching him every day on the court, he’s really moving well, he’s in good shape, he’s happy, he’s excited to be back out on the floor with the guys,” Kerr said.

“The light is finally at the end of the tunnel, and I keep thinking about that moment where he steps out onto (the floor) at (Chase Center) for the first time, it’s going to be so emotional.

“You think about everything Klay means to this franchise, what he means to our fanbase and what he has gone through the last two years just to get to this stage. He’s finally on the cusp, and he feels it. You can see it in his walk, he’s excited, and he’s getting close.”

Thompson is one of those players that you can’t hate, even if you want. The player is really cool, and he spreads nothing but good vibes. Life has been unfair for the past two years, but that has surely taught him valuable lessons.

The Warriors are ready to make a statement this upcoming season, trying to return to the top spots and dominate as they did from 2015 through 2019. To do so, they’ll need Klay at his best level, sinking 3s like he used to.
