Trae Young is a future superstar in the NBA. This past season, he elevated his game to a massive degree. Trae became an All-Star and helped lead the Atlanta Hawks back to playoff contention for the first time in several years.

And in the NBA playoffs, Young took his game to another level. He became the new villain of Madison Square Garden, helping the Hawks complete a gentleman's sweep of the New York Knicks.

Then, Trae and the Hawks pulled off a massive upset, eliminating the first-seeded Philadelphia 76ers in 7 games. Trae took the Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in many years.

And while he and the Hawks were not able to overcome eventual champs Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, Trae showed that he is a superstar in the making.

His performances this last season have Hawks fans truly excited about his potential in the NBA. Young was truly bred for the modern-day NBA; an undersized, mobile point guard with incredible range.

Young's father was a great collegiate player, so the game was always with him his whole life. His father having experience in basketball was a great influence for Trae to pick up the ball and fall in love with the game.

But that experience also allowed Trae to have experiences that most young fans would only dream of. Young's father had several connections to notable figures in the basketball world.

Because of this, Trae had the privilege of meeting several NBA stars during his childhood. These players include LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin, and Karl-Anthony Towns.

And now, Young gets to call several of these players his contemporaries in the league. Trae is on the verge of becoming one of the faces of the NBA. His hope will be to emulate the superstars that he spent his childhood meeting and idolizing.
