Carmelo Anthony has had quite a long career in the NBA, and with that comes a lot of experience. He's been through a lot of different teams and systems and has played in various roles over the last couple of years.

There is no question that Carmelo Anthony can contribute to the Los Angeles Lakers this season with his shooting and shot creation. Carmelo Anthony has also revealed that he's fine with any role on the Los Angeles Lakers, and it seems as though he's willing to sacrifice usage to help the team.

Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy has revealed that Carmelo Anthony will have some freedom in where he plays on the roster. When Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson asked him about where specifically Carmelo Anthony will fit in, Handy simply stated, "Wherever he wants".

S*it, wherever he wants. I think Frank Vogel looks at him and says "We can put him in a bunch of different places on the floor". Melo's just a hooper man. Where you can do a lot of different things with him, creates a lot of problems for defenses mismatch wise. I think he's going to plug himself in and fit right in wherever he wants.

Carmelo Anthony has played a bench-scoring role for the Portland Trail Blazers over the last season, and perhaps he will reprise that role for the Los Angeles Lakers. It is also entirely possible that he'll be a starter, and his scoring from the perimeter will certainly be useful for their playmakers in Russell Westbrook and LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers will hope to win the championship this season, and they certainly have the firepower to do so. While a lot of people have made fun of them for being an older squad, generally, squads full of veterans around superstars tend to do well in the postseason. Hopefully, we see them perform well, and the talent level on the roster certainly suggests that they are one of the top 2 teams in the league.
