Scouting and drafting aren't exact sciences. If anything, more often than not, scouts and General Managers miss out on players that end up being great because of intangibles, measurements, or even tough luck.

We've seen countless players slip all the way to the second round or even go undrafted, just to have a great career in the league.

And that might as well be the case with Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Terence Mann, who's likely to have a bigger role in Tyronne Lue's team next season.

That's why some GMs believe that he's a top breakout candidate for the upcoming campaign, according to the league's recent survey. Nonetheless, when asked about it, he didn't seem to care about that at all:

"You said GMѕ? The oneѕ that didn’t draft mе? 48th pick? I don’t carе about that ѕhi*t," the Clippers' young player said.

Which player is most likely to have a breakout season in 2021-22?

1. Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis – 17%

2. Anthony Edwards, Minnesota – 13%

3. Michael Porter Jr., Denver – 10%

4. Darius Garland, Cleveland – 7%

5. Keldon Johnson, San Antonio – 7%

6. Ja Morant, Memphis – 7%

7. Kevin Porter Jr., Houston – 7%

> Also receiving votes: Deandre Ayton, Phoenix; LaMelo Ball, Charlotte; Lonzo Ball, Chicago; Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City; De’Andre Hunter, Atlanta; Caris LeVert, Indiana; Terance Mann, LA Clippers; Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota; Devin Vassell, San Antonio; Zion Williamson, New Orleans

> Last year: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Michael Porter Jr. – 15%

Well, you've got to love the attitude. He's only focused on working and shutting down all the outside noise, as he knows that other people's assessments aren't always right.

With Kawhi Leonard out for the foreseeable future, the Clippers will need another bucket-getter to try and help Paul George carry the load, so maybe this time GMs will get it right with Mann and he'll be one of the stars of the league.
