The 2021-22 NBA season is already full of great storylines. From the 18-2 Warriors to the rise of the Chicago Bulls, things have definitely become very interesting through the first few weeks of this new campaign.

But perhaps one of the biggest storylines started earlier this month, when the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat face doff for their first game. Besides the clash of two titans, it featured a particular moment between Nikola Jokic and Markieff Morris that still lingers today.

While some of the details on how it all started remain murky, Jokic and Morris went viral for a rather nasty altercation that played out during a game, which involved Jokic literally shoving Morris to the ground.

Morris missed time due to a minor injury on the play, and Jokic was promptly ejected and given a one-game suspension. I was ugly and tempers were very clearly running high.

Of course, it didn't end there. The situation continued to escalate behind the scenes, and eventually, both of their families were involved and taking shots at each other on Twitter, with Jokic's two brothers going so far as to threaten the Morris twins.

"You should leave this the way it is instead of publicly threatening our brother! Your brother made a dirty play first. If you want to make a step further be sure we will be waiting for you," the Jokic brothers wrote.

The situation did eventually blow over, and it seems both sides have since cooled down. At least, for now.

On Monday night, the Heat and Nuggets met again, this time in Miami, and the Jokic brothers actually made an appearance. They sat court-side seemingly waiting for something to happen.

If you've gotten a good look at Jokic's brother, you'll know he doesn't seem like the right guy to mess with. Seriously, he's huge.

Thankfully, the game went off without a hitch and it seems this Jokic/Morris family rivalry can finally be put to bed.
