OpenHarmomy 3.0 ecosystem growth and development future plans released
On December 28, OpenAtom foundation has organized an OpenHarmony open-source meeting to present growth and future plans, which is the starting station for OpenHarmony’s annual tour of cities and universities. The theme of the event is “Integrating Industry Needs, Consolidating Key Technologies”.
OpenHarmony is an open-source project of the HarmonyOS operating system incubated and operated by the OpenAtom Foundation. The goal is to build a framework and platform for a smart device operating system and promote prosperity for a full-scenario, fully connected, and fully smart era.
At the event, The OpenHarmony’s 2021 co-construction results and future growth plans were presented. During this, the main conference, three sub-conference, and ecological exhibitions were successfully held.
Among them, the major focus is on-chip code entering the backbone and the outlook for OpenHarmony in 2022. However, the dev-board-SIG sub-forum focuses on the current development progress and future plans of the OpenHarmony Development Board.
While, the device sub-platform focuses on Smart Wear, Smart Travel, Smart Cockpit, Smart Education, and Smart Police Application of OpenHarmony products in multiple scenarios. On the other hand, Education sub-forums focus on the amazing achievements of OpenHarmony in the education sector.
The Ecological Exhibition Area presents amazing content such as members of the OpenHarmony Project Group, the OpenHarmony Dev-Board-SIG Development Board, and OpenHarmony Educational Achievements. OpenHarmony’s ecological partners emphasize discussion, build, sharing, and win-win, and are committed to enriching the open-source ecosystem.
With the tireless efforts of the Program Working Committee, OpenHarmony 3.0 version has been released, which has achieved initial coverage of all equipment capabilities. The industry has gradually expanded from consumer products to the industrial level, with a vision to empower thousands. of industries.
The Executive Director of the OpenHarmony Project Group Working Committee, Luo Wei said that OpenHarmony’s vision is to provide an advanced pan-terminal operating system for the next era, realize the interconnection of all things, create an open and shared integrated ecosystem, and gradually -is gradually to become a natural substitute for global industries.
In 2022, the OpenHarmony ecosystem will focus on mass production and commercial use of consumer devices, commercial devices, and industrial equipment, with leaders in China and Europe leading the way in global applications. In the future, OpenHarmony will gradually create a new open-source supply chain system for operating systems serving the world and strive to be a leader in the development of the global electronic information industry.
Zhu Qigang, leader of the OpenHarmony project group’s ecological construction group, said: In the future, OpenHarmony will collaborate closely with mainstream chip manufacturers to gradually realize the code that enters the backbone of the community.
The OpenHarmony Project Group will collaborate with member units and working groups to provide specialized technical support and this is expected to happen in September 2022. Intensive cooperation with 20 mainstream chips is reached before the end of the month.
As the mainstream chip code enters the backbone, more OpenHarmony development boards will be produced in the future, which will integrate the needs of different industries, and accelerate technological development. It is expected that a new version will be released in the first quarter of 2022. Gradual appearance of various terminal products in different industries.
