Huawei Super Device, a step towards global HarmonyOS?
At Huawei Smart Office Launch Conference, Huawei unveiled a bunch of new smart office products and the Super Device concept. So, is the Huawei Super Device related to the upcoming arrival of the global HarmonyOS operating system? Let’s find out.
According to the information, Super Device manages different smart devices through one super device such as a smartphone. This technology allows Huawei ecosystem devices to connect and manage each other’s features in a seamless way without requiring you to install a third-party app.
Super Device Origin:
Huawei introduced Super Device with HarmonyOS operating system at Huawei Developer Conference 2020 with the release of HarmonyOS 2.0. At the event, the Chinese tech maker opened HarmonyOS for more platforms including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and IoT devices from third-party firms.
As mentioned above, the feature would let you connect other platforms such as tablets, smart TVs, and IoT devices to a smartphone and let you control them remotely via the corresponding Super Device.
In the world of smart technologies, consumers really like this kind of capability such as Super Device, that empowers them to interact with different smart devices. Therefore, HarmonyOS has gained great popularity among Chinese consumers and reached a mark of over 150 million downloads after 6 months of its launch.
However, in the global market, the feature is released in support of EMUI 12 devices, which could be based on HarmonyOS.
Still, we don’t have any confirmation on this matter but Super Device is a core HarmonyOS feature and the Chinese tech maker seemingly moving on to bring us a complete HarmonyOS user experience in the global market.
