LeBron James remains a hot topic in the NBA despite being on a losing team and after playing his 19th NBA season. The King is the face of the competition for a reason, and whenever his name is mentioned, people pay attention. At age 37, James keeps dominating rivals, although the Lakers haven't been the same team that won the 2020 championship.

After a season where he was the only good thing the Lakers had to show, many people started wondering if he still got it and if he can be considered a top 5 player in the world right now. With other stars like Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic and others taking over, it's easy to think that LeBron lost his throne as the best player in the world.

Well, Hoops Central recently sparked a big debate among fans, doing a little true or false exercise involving LeBron James. The Twitter page asked fans if Bron was still the best player in the world and the answers didn't take long to arrive.

Even though many people still claimed that James remains the best player in the league, others quickly mentioned the stars that could or have taken over James on this unofficial list.

LeBron has been so great during his career, that even if you don't think he's the best player in the world right now, the fact that he's still part of the conversation says a lot about his quality and consistency. James hopes to continue his good moment next season and perhaps get his team to the bright side after a terrible 2021/22 season.

If Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis can improve their levels this next campaign, LeBron will have more chances to unleash his power in the postseason while his two star teammates carry the Lakers in the regular season. Maybe, this season could be the one where LeBron confirms he's the best of the best or when other stars dethrone him for good.
