Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant had a tumultuous relationship during their time together on the Los Angeles Lakers. Even though things started pretty well for them, it all went wrong due to their differences when approaching the game.
In the end, Shaq was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004, winning a championship in South Beach two years after the move, while Kobe struggled to add two more titles to his incredible resume. Things weren't that cool between them until many years later, but fans always liked that they could make amends before Kobe left this world.
It's been two years since Bryant was tragically killed in a helicopter crash, and everybody tries to remember and pay homage to him however they can. Shaq is not different, as he recently revealed he has portraits of himself and Kobe Bryant.
A short video shows two portraits, one where Shaq and Kobe reunited when the Los Angeles Lakers paid homage to the Big Diesel, and another one of an edit of the Big Diesel and the Black Mamba being old.
Shaq claimed that he misses Kobe, just like the rest of the world.
Unfortunately, Kobe was taken away from us two years ago when he was on his way to a basketball game with his daughter Gianna and seven other people. Ever since that, people have tried to honor him however they can, creating incredible murals, courts, and many more things.
Shaq decided to remember one of the best moments they spent together and guess how things would have been for him and Kobe if nothing had happened to him. It's cool to see that O'Neal doesn't hesitate to show the love and admiration he had for Kobe.
This friendship wasn't always cordial, wasn't always even a friendship, but they squashed their beef and focused on the important things. Shaq doesn't miss a chance to praise Kobe, and that won't change anytime soon.
