The wait is over for one of the best remaining free agents in the market. After spending the last two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, Blake Griffin has found a new team in the association. The power forward was part of the list of veterans that could help a contender and one of them picked him up for the next season.

The Boston Celtics and Griffin have agreed to a one-year deal, which is said to be fully guaranteed for Blake. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the news, perhaps answering one of the biggest questions for the Celtics this offseason.

Free agent Blake Griffin has agreed to a one-year, fully guaranteed deal with the Boston Celtics, sources tell ESPN.

This could be a good move for the Celtics, who lost Danilo Gallinari in the summer after the Italian player suffered an injury while defending the colors of his national team.

Blake Griffin's Signing Could Close The Door For Carmelo Anthony

In recent weeks, another veteran was linked with a move to TD Garden, but nothing materialized between the 17-time NBA champions and Carmelo Anthony. Besides the Celtics, the Brooklyn Nets were reportedly interested in Melo, but as things stand right now, he's a free agent.

Griffin's presence could be good for the Celtics. He didn't have the best time with the Nets, and Steve Nash even claimed Griffin wasn't considered part of the rotation. After leaving that complex situation, the power forward is ready to help the Celtics in any way.

This team is entering the next season surrounded by controversies. Still, they have a solid roster that can make a lot of noise, but it remains to be seen if the new management can take them to the Finals once again.
