The Los Angeles Lakers faithful have not had too much cause for optimism in the last few seasons. Since they won it all in 2020, the roster has changed quite drastically outside their main stars, and it has led to worse results. Anthony Davis' health has been iffy for the last two seasons and the addition of Russell Westbrook has simply not worked out the way the team might have hoped.

Efforts were made in the offseason to land another star to help LeBron James, but all the potential trades fell through. This was despite the Lakers reportedly being open to trading their two first-round picks to make a deal happen. But with the sort of superstar talent on their roster, the Lakers could enjoy an incredible run just as easily as they can have another season outside the playoffs.

And the main cause for optimism remains LeBron James. Many thought James would fall off a little bit with age, but he has only gotten better. And while it's hard to see him single-handedly carry them to the Finals, something he used to do regularly in his prime, it cannot be written off as a possibility. And LeBron's attitude makes it seem like he's ready for it too.

LeBron James Had An Amazing Message Ready For Lakers Fans

After a long and uncertain offseason, everything kicked off with media day on Monday for many NBA players. Stars across the league interacted with the media and answered questions about the past and the coming season. And along with everything else that he said, LeBron James had a message for fans of the Purple and Gold that they will love.

“I just want to say shout out to all the Laker faithful,” LeBron said. “Listen, without the Lake Show, we’re nothing. And it is my responsibility, and our responsibility all around here to put on a show for y’all.

“The arena is going to be lightning in there,” he continued. “It’s going to be showtime all over. It’s going to be high-flying, alley-oops, threes, blocks, charges. Plenty of excitement. Y’all give me that excitement, and I promise I’ll give y’all my excitement.

“Six is back,” LeBron said. “King is back. Have my throne ready. Crown going on. You know how we do.”

Those words are enough to inspire any fan and enough to make any fan of an opposing team worry. A locked-in LeBron James is always a scary prospect. And if AD stays healthy to come along for the ride, the Lakers could flip the script from last season and get back to the top of the mountain quickly.
