During the 1980s and 1990s, Michael Jordan established himself as one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA. He earned a lot of accolades, but it took him some time before winning the first of the six NBA Championships that he won in his NBA career.

Many give credit to the rise of Scottie Pippen for finally helping Michael Jordan get past the hurdles in playoffs and win rings. On the other hand, there is a theory that the league changed rules in order to help MJ succeed by reducing physical play.

One of the most physical teams at the time was none other than the Detroit Pistons. Jordan's Bulls and the Pistons had a great rivalry where they faced off in the postseason several times. For the first few times, the Pistons easily defeated Mike and the Bulls using the 'Jordan Rules.' However, Jordan ultimately found a way to break the 'Jordan Rules' and establish his dominance in the league.

Isiah Thomas Takes Another Shot At Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas were rivals during their playing days. But over the years, the rivalry has developed into hatred for one another. There are many reasons for that, and one of them was recently revealed by Thomas in an interview. Zeke revealed that the NBA changed rules in order to help Mike win NBA rings.

"Y'all want him to win. Y'all changed all the rules so he can win. ... These are the facts. I go down the lane, I get my a** beat. You see pictures of Michael Cooper scratching Larry Bird's jersey off. You see Kevin McHale slamming Kurt Rambis to the floor. Everybody getting hit, but he can't get hit? So we are gonna change all the rules, so he can dunk because they're marketing the dunk."

This is not the first time that Thomas has spoken about the NBA changing all the rules to help Jordan win titles. He once revealed that even late NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain believed that the league wanted Mike to win and hence changed all the rules in his favor.

Despite that, Thomas concluded this section by saying all these rule changes only made him want to defeat Jordan and the Bulls more instead of feeling bad.
