The Lakers and Clippers are in the mix for Mo Bamba.

Mo Bamba is well-known as a big man who is capable of protecting the rim and shooting from beyond the arc. Currently, Mo Bamba is averaging 8.5 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 1.1 APG while shooting 38.8% from beyond the arc.
Due to the Orlando Magic already having a high number of big men on the roster, it is quite possible that the team will end up trading him this season. A report by Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers are among the teams who are interested in acquiring him. He has also been linked to the Chicago Bulls in the past.
The Orlando Magic re-signed Bamba to trade him; at least, that's how it appears. His role has diminished this season with the arrival of No. 1 pick Paolo Banchero and the emergence of Bol Bol.
Bamba (who can't be dealt until mid-January) is on a two-year $20.6 million contract, but the second season is non-guaranteed. Orlando would like a first but may be looking for younger players who can grow with its young team longer term.
The Los Angeles Clippers, Lakers, Kings and Raptors may have interest, among others.
It remains to be seen where Mo Bamba ends up, and his skill set could help a number of teams improve defensively. It is intriguing to imagine him on the Los Angeles Lakers, where he could form a dynamic frontcourt with Anthony Davis defensively. He could also help the Clippers improve defensively, and give them the option to go big.
There is no doubt that Mo Bamba will have to be traded to reach his full potential, as he needs touches and consistent minutes for that to happen. He could get extended minutes on both the Lakers and the Clippers, and it'll be interesting to see which team ends up getting him.

Mo Bamba is far from the only big man that has been targeted by the Lakers and Clippers. It is clear that both teams are in search of a solid center, and a recent report suggested that both teams are also in the mix for Myles Turner.
The team had previously shopped Myles Turner for multiple deadlines, but when they landed Tyrese Haliburton from the Kings, they needed to give up Domantas Sabonis.
That may lead to a recommitment to Turner, who will be a free agent this summer. Still, plenty of teams have interest if the Pacers change course, including the Lakers, Clippers and Warriors.
Myles Turner is definitely a better player than Mo Bamba, but Bamba still has untapped potential. It'll be interesting to see whether the Lakers and Clippers end up going with the proven veteran, or a younger player with upside.
