Tyronn Lue's Hilarious Admission After Kyle Anderson Hit Him In The Nuts

Speaking to the media after the win, Lue admitted that it did hurt, but also added that he was fine.

Tyronn Lue had a hilarious update after he was at the receiving end of an erratic pass from Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kyle Anderson.

It may have been a good ending for the Los Angeles Clippers as they registered a 99-88 win, but it wasn't a good day for Lue after Anderson's pass hit him in the nuts. And as much as he tried to hide the pain, it was just a bit too much for the Clippers coach.

Speaking to the media after the win, Lue admitted that it did hurt but also added for good measure that he was fine. 

“Messed me up. I just couldn’t show it on TV. I tried. … I was hurting. But I’m alright.”

All things considered, due credit to Lue for taking the shot but not letting it get to him. By the looks of it, Anderson's misguided pass wasn't one bit intentional, either.

Despite the absence of their big names, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Clippers have managed to stay over the .500 mark. They registered consecutive wins against the Washington Wizards and the Boston Celtics but lost to the Phoenix Suns in their last three games.

Much of the Clippers' postseason hopes depend on their stars taking the hardwood. George has been the team's leading scorer averaging 23.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists.

Leonard has just played 10 games for the side this season, averaging 13.7 points,  5.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. Earlier, Lue defended the absence of his stars:

"They definitely want to play," Lue said of Kawhi and PG. "We've just gotta be smart about it... Kawhi missed 15 months of basketball, you think he doesn't want to play?" 

It's a no-brainer that the side will need both of its superstars to suit up and fire should they have any hopes of making the postseason. The West is stacked, and should the likes of the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Timberwolves (all below the Clippers at the time of writing) find their groove, the upward climb will be a massive challenge.
