The NBA moves fast, and there is never any guarantee that a player will be on a team for any time. The biggest superstars have security, but barring a select few, most players know that they can be traded at any time. The Los Angeles Lakers are a franchise used to making deals, and as such, nearly every star in the league is linked with a move to LA at some point.

That is much more true this season as well, with the Lakers struggling to win consistently thanks to their roster. They have recognized that already adding Rui Hachimura to the team in what seems to be a great trade. But with more scoring and shot creation still a necessity, the conversation has turned to Cleveland Cavaliers' guard Caris LeVert. Sam Amico of Hoops Wire reported something very interesting on that front recently.

“So far everyone from the Pistons to the [Charlotte] Hornets to [Los Angeles] Clippers and [Utah] Jazz has expressed an interest in LeVert. And yes, even the Lakers have kicked around the idea of a LeVert trade in their scanning of rival rosters in their search for more help, sources told Hoops Wire. (In fact, it’s been said that LeVert is a favorite of LeBron James.)”

LeBron James hasn't been shy about expressing his frustration at times this season, he has been open about it. So if the franchise can improve its team while making LeBron James happy, that would be a huge move for them. And the Cavaliers have already discussed trades with LeVert involved with other teams, which means that he is very much available should the Lakers want to get in.

Would Caris LeVert Be A Big Help To The Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have a surplus of guards on the roster, but someone like LeVert who is 6'6 and can play forward would be a big addition for them. He's had his issues with injuries but can score 20 points per game when he's in the right situation

His efficiency from the floor hasn't been too good this season, but he has improved his 3-point percentage to almost 37%. That would be a big help for the Lakers, who still don't have nearly enough shooting. Overall, there's no reason Caris LeVert wouldn't improve the Lakers if the right deal can be found.
