De'Aaron Fox wasn't happy with the referees' late-game calls in the Sacramento Kings' close loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The point guard played a huge role in pulling the Kings back in the final quarter but was miffed with how the refereeing went about in the final seconds, especially the call regarding a foul involving him and Dennis Schroder.

The refs called a shooting foul on Fox with four seconds remaining in the game. Schröder knocked down both his free throws, and the Lakers ended up winning 136-134.

Fox took to Twitter to express his disappointment, but deleted his tweet soon after. However, there was ample response pouring in on social media for his postgame comment.

De’Aaron Fox took to Twitter after tonight’s loss against the Lakers to criticize the officials for their controversial late-game calls 👀

“Thought we were suppose to let the players decide the game…”

The refs called a shooting-foul on Fox during the last 4-seconds of the game. Dennis Shröder knocked down both free-throws and the Lakers walked away with a W.

Fox ended his evening with 34 points, 2 rebounds, and 9 assists, but it wasn't enough to see his side home. The wait will be for NBA's two-minute report to confirm if there was an error in the final decision that went in favor of the Lakers.

NBA Fans React To De'Aaron Fox's Deleted Tweet

The fan responses on social media were divided over the call. While some felt the guard has a valid reason to be upset, some also believed that some calls didn't go the Lakers' way as well and that he must move on.

The Kings have now lost two games in a row, adding more reason for the players to be upset. Moving on to the reactions:

Body contact was not a normal basketball move work on your footwork

Shouldn’t have hip checked him

Refs gave them 37FTs to 23FTs and he still complains?? My dude ain’t getting no calls now

When De’Aaron fox isn’t scamming fans, he needs to work on his foot work

Didn’t he have like 15 free throws?

Knock it off! they missed the Russ And-1 on the other end the play before

Bro, your team shot 30 FREE THROWS. Stop baggin the refs. Stop being mediocre and blame others for your fault. Thats so a Kings things to do.

Yeah I’m a Lakers fan and that foul was bullshit game was tied nothing wrong with minor contact. Now if it’s too tie the game then u have to call it

One bad call deserves another. Russ got that and1 and they didn’t count it

The refs tried to help sac all night and yet they still complaining when he clearly fouled him with his body because if he didn't Dennis would have went by him and made the lay up

Earlier, Kings coach Mike Brown had sounded off on the refereeing when he was ejected during their game against the Toronto Raptors.

“You just don’t get the respect,” Brown said. “And I’ve been in those games, I’ve played Sacramento and I’ve seen it. ‘I can’t believe we got that call.’”

The Kings will be soured by the whole incident, but they have to move past it and focus on the task at hand. They take on the Orlando Magic next, followed by two clashes against the Houston Rockets.
